WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Hi - my name's Matt Curtis! I started my professional radio career in 2016 at Capital FM in the East Midlands, interning on the breakfast and drive-time shows and cover-presenting weekends. I quickly progressed to covering weekends and drive-time across the Capital Network and I was also regularly booked to produce breakfast shows, tech-op outside broadcasts and create content as a videographer. I worked at numerous Capital events, such as the Summertime & Jingle Bell Balls in both an event crew and tech-op capacity.

In April 2019, I started presenting various shows on Signal 1 and across the Wireless Group network, including the network evening show Total Access. I covered The Home Run on Radio Wave in Blackpool (one of my favourite places in the UK) and in September 2019, I was approached to take over the mid-morning show on Peak FM. This was a dream come true for me and in one quarter, I increased the shows hours by 10% and reach by 19%. I also hosted live stage events, produced video content for various promotions and continued to cover across the Wireless network.

Following Bauer Media's acquisition of the Wireless Group, I covered the networked Saturday breakfast show on Signal 1, Pulse 1 & The Wave for a number of weeks during the transition period to Hits Radio, delivering local content for each station using splits.
